Review Jump Inc Leeds

When you get the chance to check out a new urban playground in the heart of the city you say yes, right? I knew this would earn me ultimate cool points with my kids so at the weekend we took our kids plus two of their friends to this new 48, square foot warehouse filled in Leeds, near Elland Road, which has ‘cool’ written all over it!

Jump-Inc is the second of three branded urban playgrounds to open in the UK. The first park is in Rotherham, then the Leeds venue opened in the summer, and next to open is a Meadowhall, Sheffield branch which launches in the next few weeks. The Leeds trampoline park which I visited is the largest trampoline park in the north of England, and we all marvelled at the size of the place and what was on offer.

From high jumping platforms to foam pits, dodgeball courts to high wire areas, there is adventure in every direction. You can just bounce (which I did) or throw yourself off a platform (which my kids did!) so you can choose your own level of fun! The team at Jump-Inc are happy to bounce with you if you need, and we saw one guy doing backflips there, I guess when you work somewhere like this, you soon learn how to flip! Here is my son and his friend jumping off a high platform. They were fearless!

When you arrive at the park, you are able to buy special gripper socks if you don’t have them, then you go into a special waiting area where you watch a safety video whilst you await the start of your session. Sessions are one hour long and after the video had been watched and a member of staff marked our wrist bands to confirm we’d seen the video, we were let loose on the park! You run up a ramp straight into the action and the whole park has a capacity of 200 people at any time, but as it is so big, this doesn’t feel crowded when you are bouncing.

Within the park there are areas that state you must be a certain height to use the attraction that is next to the sign, so they are conscious of the safety of their guests and there are plenty of staff around to ask if you need help.

Jump-Inc runs different kinds of sessions, from fitness bounces to an event they call ‘Lockdown’. This is like a nightclub for teens where they play the dance music, crank up the disco lights and have a party atmosphere alongside street dance crews who are busting their moves and creating the feel of a nightclub. My son would love to go to a Lockdown so we are keeping an eye on their website for the next one but it is basically like a nightclub without the alcohol! Here she is doing flips to the music!

After the hour’s jumping time we all went off for lunch.

You can order your food downstairs then tables and chairs are upstairs on the viewing platform. The kind of food available ranges from wraps and jacket spuds to pizzas and hot dogs. My husband and I went for a tuna wrap (me) and a pizza (him)! The kids had hot dogs and slushies. Prices range from £4.95 for a salad, £2.50 for a classic hot dog and £6.25 for a pizza. You can also get sides of sweet potato fries (£2.95 and delicious!) and onion rings (£4.50).

Prices to bounce are the same for all ages at Leeds and Sheffield (£9.50 per person) but they also run toddler mornings which are £4.50 per child and the parent/guardian bounces with them free. Rotherham’s prices for a general bounce are slightly cheaper by £2, due to it being a smaller park, and they also run the toddler mornings there for £4.50.

We had such a great day at Jump-Inc and will definitely be back!
